Morning Thoughts

Marilyn was sleeping through the night until about 2 weeks ago. Now she is back to waking up every 4-5 hours. Not fun. Last night she went to bed at 9:30, and woke up to eat at 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. When she woke up at 6, I was hoping she would go back to sleep, but she didn't. So, I was up at 6 a.m. with her. She fell back asleep at around 8 this morning, and now I'm wide awake. The exciting thing about this morning was that she rolled over for the first time. I layed her down on the bed and she promptly rolled onto her side and then right over onto her stomach. Amazing!

So, we are having wood floors put down in our living room, dining room and den next weekend. I'm really looking forward to getting rid of our dog pee colored carpet and cheap laminate floors. Our next project is the master bathroom. It's one of those bathrooms that has carpet in it and just a little tile next to the bathtub and shower. Why they put carpet in a bathroom, I will never know! Steve wants me to go to Home Depot and pick out new tile. By myself. Those of you who know me well know that I can't even pick out a nail polish color by myself, let alone tile for the bathroom floor. Plus, I have learned in the past 3 years of being married that he has much better taste than me. We'll see what happens.

I have MSNBC on right now, as usual, and they are doing a report on how old John McCain is. Apparently he has his staff show him websites because he doesn't know how to use the internet. There are too many things wrong with this. First of all, my grandma is older than him and has no problem using the internet. Maybe she should be president. Secondly, why doesn't he just try to learn how to use it? It's not like it's that hard. Do we really want a president who won't learn to use the internet? Is he too lazy? Does he think it's just too hard? Is he saying that he thinks using the internet is more difficult than being the most powerful leader in the world? Scary.
